BBC music magazine, 2017 Christmas
"Concerto choice: This is the last of Warner's annual gleanings from the Lugano Festival at which Martha Argerich presides - and definitely the most exciting. She may be 76, but her playing has lost none of its phenomenal precision and brilliance ... In Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit Argerich is like a cat, velvet pawed until the moment for a predatory pounce. I have never heard Ondine delivered with such delicate poetry, nor Le Gibet with such musing languor"
AllMusic, 2017
"There is brilliance from Argerich in Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit, gloriously old-school Bach from Argerich and violinist Tedi Papavrami, fine work from violinist Renaud Capuçon in the Busoni Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35a (even if the Brahms Horn Trio is not so idiomatic), and lots more, all of it immediate and committed. The album should be kept on hand as a fine tribute to an artist who has been not only a star, but a great inspiration to other musicians"

"...Argerich does feature prominently throughout the set. It opens with something that has been a real rarity for more than 30 years: her giving a solo performance of one of the pinnacles of the 20th-century piano repertoire. She recorded Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit in the studio in the 1970s, and hearing her play it 40 years later with the same dazzling security and clarity is an extraordinary privilege"

"The latest Martha Argerich and Friends edition is culled from the Lugano Festival Progetto Martha Argerich's final season in 2016. Whether or not one can glean a valedictory sense of occasion from the performances, special moments abound ... Argerich's interpretation has gained in colour, breadth and nuance ... her 75-year-old fingers still operate at unambiguously full capacity. She still plays Ravel's G marjo Concerto better than almost anyone else these days ... Argerich and Sergei Babayab deliver nothing less than a world-class Mozart Two-Piano Sonata ... Marcelo Nisinman's energetic Hombre Tango concludes the Argerich and Friends' series on a boisterous note"
