AI session in english

In this 40-minute session, you'll discover the processes behind AI language-generating tools through a simple, fun group activity. No technical knowledge needed! You’ll come away with a clearer understanding of how these tools generate text and why they sometimes get things wrong. 

The session is designed as part of a University of Sheffield research project on understanding the best ways to teach people how AI tools actually work. 

Who is this for? Any adult curious about AI, whether you use it yourself or avoid it.  

The workshop will be conducted in English. 

What’s involved? 
A short online survey before the session (around 10 minutes) 
A 40 minute face-to-face workshop 
A short follow-up survey (around 10 minutes) 

Participation is free and voluntary. Your responses will be anonymised in the research.
