"Album der Woche: So zeigt das Album einen facettenreichen Dvořák. Einen tänzerisch heiteren und einen tiefgründig sentimentalen - einen unvollendeten und einen schaffensfrohen - einen weltoffenen und einen heimatverbundenen. Und Dvořáks tschechische Landsleute im Talich Quartet bringen diese Facetten auf ihrem neuen Album einfühlend und unterhaltsam zu Gehör"

BBC music magazine, 2022 December
"Few prominent chamber ensembles can boast such a long-standing pedigree as the Talich Quartet ... But it has to be said that even those coming to this disc without any prior knowledge of the Talich Quartet's history are likely to bowled over by the sheer freshness and youthful vivacity of their playing ... Take the 'American' F major String Quartet, for exampel ... There's nothing routine about this performance ... It's delivered with a winning combination of exuberance, dynamism and irresistible energy in the rhythmically assertive passages, together with suitably tender reflection in the more lyrical material"
The gramophone, 2022 December
"On first listening there's a freshness, and a big, upfront open-heartedness about the playing here that - heard 'blind' - would not necessarily lead you to conclude that this was an ensemble with a six-generation heritage ... On further reflection, and more detailed listening, that pedigree sounds a little more evident. You can hear ... that this is an old-school 'top-down' quartet, with the ensemble sound finely layered beneath Talich's sweet, fluid violin tone ... If the repertoire appeals, these interpretations will give a lof of (not unsophisticated) pleasure"
