Skype: knud1954Knud Schulz has been the manager of the Main Library in Aarhus since 1987. He is an educated librarian with a supplementary Master degree in Public Management (MPM) from 2003. During the past years, The Main Library in Aarhus has focused on transforming routine library services from being staff driven into carrying a high level of user self-service. The library development strategy on staff competencies is the support of user processes and development of the interactive library supporting both lifelong- and experience based learning.

2015 The Main Library moved the new Dokk1 building at the seafront. The Dokk1 library activities are highly based on partnerships with civic-, business-, and public organizations.
From middle of 2016 all 19 public libraries in Aarhus amalgamated into one organization and the strategy is focused on implementing a new partnership level in the communities around the branches.
Currently the libraries are using the basic Design Thinking method in innovation of new services in collaboration with the citizens.
